Police in Columbia have caught a drug smuggling pigeon after the weight of the drugs loaded onto its back forced it to be grounded before it reached its final destination, a prison in Bucaramanga, north-east Colombia. Police found the bird flapping in vain a block away from the prison. They discovered that the pigeon had 1.6 ounces of marijuana, taped to its back.
